  Positioning of 2 RCXs
 
I'm currently working on a robot that uses 2 RCXs. They will obviously need to communicate with each other, so I need to know the proper way to position them. Will it work if I stack them one on top of the other? (The top one would have to be upside (...) (26 years ago, 30-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I don't know if it works with IR like it works with visible light, but you could try to use some fiber optics to interconnect the I/O LEDs of the RCXs. This way you could put them in *any* position and as far apart as you want. Laurentino (...) (26 years ago, 30-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) It's not a problem unless you have evil compact fluorescent lights or some other source of powerfull interference. Recall that the RCXs are designed to talk amoung themselves when placed on moving robots. If you want to make sure, put a red or (...) (26 years ago, 30-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

You could use a mirror and then flip the one robo on top of the other. Maybe something like a child's hand mirror or something (...) (26 years ago, 31-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)
