i encountered something similiar lately:
when the micromotor gets stalled and you want to run it in the opposite direction,
it is blocked. probably due to the force that stalled it.
i then had to either remove the stalling situation (i.e. disassemble some parts)
and run the motor in the same direction where it was stalled first, or turn it
by hand a bit. in both ways, it worked again afterwards.
