I cobbled together a means to motorize the focus ring on my Vision Command camera that doesn't require any damage to parts. It's far from perfect: the two tyres sometimes slip and the friction between the focus ring and the 20x30 tyre is iffy. (URL) (23 years ago, 29-Nov-01, to lugnet.robotics)
