This is what each message (1-12) will command the scout to do:
Message 1: Seek dark
Message 2: Seek light
Message 3: The Bug Dance
Message 4: Forward A and B
Message 5: Reverse A and B
Message 6: Forward A, reverse B
Message 7: Reverse A, forward B
Message 8: Forward A, off B
Message 9: Reverse A, off B
Message 10: Off A, Forward B
Message 11: Off A, Reverse B
Message 12: Off A, Off B
*Messages 4-12 control the scout for half a second, then the scout returns
to its original motion. The RCX overrides the Scout's default motion.
However, if a sensor event or a special effect occurs on the Scout, it
interrupts the RCX's control...
The "Ghost" file you refer to is ghost.ocx a replacement for spirit.ocx in
the upcoming RIS 2.0. (This is what the site said a while back). IT was
used in the "Mindscript" compiler included in the SDK for the RCX. This
controller also compiled code for use with the scout. I also believe that
the "ghost.ocx" file was included with the scout SDK as well.
You can send these commands from RCX code using the "SendMessage" function.

| Hi all, I need to know where I can find uot what each message 1-12 will do on the scout. I tries and some of them work the motor ports but about the others??? Also is there a way to use the RCX as a remote control like the infrared remote available (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.robotics)
