Well, it certainly can be done - but "program" is a bit of an exaggeration.
The half dozen built-in "programs" that you can access from the Microscout
control panel can be put together into a short sequence and stored in the
microscout's memory. However, there is no conditional execution - so it's
really not that much use.

You can easily send VLL commands from a Scout using NQC.

I don't see why not.

Well, I found it *very* frustrating. There isn't even a simple command like
"run the motor forwards" - it does all the annoying beeping and runs for a
little while - then stops...just like it does from the control panel.
Actually, I find the microscout considerably *less* useful than a regular
motor...although I suppose if you were using a scout and *needed* a third
motor, it's marginally better than nothing...but I find it *really* hard
to come up with convincing uses for P mode.

No - you have to put it into 'P' (progam?) mode from it's front panel in
order to send it commands from the scout. The *only* input is the Visible
Light Link...there is no IR input on the Microscout.
