Thought this would be of interest:

Personal Satellite Assistant:
http://ic-www.arc.nasa.gov/ic/psa
http://europe.cnn.com/2000/TECH/space/01/12/psa/
This type of "floating" robot reminds me of a Ram Meenakshisundaram thread
about "Making Lego airborne" where the attaching a balloon (dirigible,
blimp) to an RCX was discussed.

Robonaut:
http://vesuvius.jsc.nasa.gov/er_er/html/robonaut/robonaut.html
http://europe.cnn.com/2000/TECH/space/06/13/robonaut/
This reminds me of a David Leeper thread about "A Hand with no Gears or
pullies".

Canadarm2:

Other humanoid robots:

Nothing to do with NASA but interesting anyway: Robotic Scorpion

mc.

PS: All my Legobot projects are halted (again) due to lack of time, but I
keep reading this list.
