Lego Mindstorms RCX provides only 3 sensors.
Most of the robot design requires more than three sensor input. Or need of
more that three sensors in order to select action.
Building a very complex by just using three sensors is difficult task.
Mindsensors have designed and new multiplexer for overcoming this difficulty.
You can use active sensor multiplexer to connect more than three sensors to
your RCX.
And select any on them by software.
