i have an rxc, a scout and a copy of robolab 2 for macintosh (i don't have any instruction books for robolab). i understand that it is possible to send commands from the rcx to the scout and receive replys. could any one give me a quick start (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I believe that someone said that whilst the Lego camera is made by Logitech, it has a different USB identifier or some such thing - that made it so you couldn't interchange Lego and Logitech cameras with the same software. You mean the 9-pin cable for the IR tower, right. Yes, you can use a much longer cable. Get one with one female (holes) and one male (pins) connector, and you should be OK. You have to use it on the computer end, because the tower only accepts a (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)
