  RE: Canadian price goof up...

(...) I just bought 10 of them. I'll let everyone know when I get them -first come first served and I can accept only US postal money orders, shipment via insured surface mail as soon as I get the funds. Please follow up to my personal email as I (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Canadian price goof up...

(...) According to their FAQ they can't accept orders for shipment outside of Canada. This is also supported by the fact that you have to enter a Canadian provence to proceed to step 2 of the checkout process. Bummer. Know any Canadians? Dave (25 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Canadian price goof up...

I just bought one set without problem.. They don't sell to people outside US. At least this time it's up to the canadian to have a good deal :) . Hugo (If I were having some time to loose, I would buy at least 10 set and resell them on ebay at (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Canadian price goof up...

Well, the print ad I'm looking at has the RDS priced at $267.99 (after $30 rebate) CDN. I assumed they swapped the prices on the two sets, since the RDS is at the lower end of the spectrum. I didn't check the pricing of the RDS online though. -- (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Canadian price goof up...

Is it a goof? According to their site, they are knowingly setting a $150 discount on the regular $297.99 price. This seems too good to be true. I'm going to order a couple to see if it works...does anybody want in on this from the States? It works (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Canadian price goof up...

I don't know if there has been a retraction printed as of yet, but FutureShop stores in Ont, NB, NS, PEI, and NLFD should have the RIS for $147.99 CDN with an additional $30 rebate. I just checked the website and the price is good there too. (URL) (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Thanks to y'all. As we could have expected Kekoa DID indeed have it documented. As he points out in his reply it's just in a different location, and I missed the connection.   Re: Rotation Contacts

This is a modestly easy task, if you use a telephone cord untangler. I have "modified" a number of these to make 4 wire rotating connections, typically for feeding through the large turntable. By carefully cutting the metal part, you can turn 2x4 (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Rotation Contacts

Usually, I feed the wire through the center of the large turntable. This will tolerate several rotations. Of course, you have to unwind it from time to time. An example is on my five axis machine at (URL) solutions would be to drive through the hole (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Rotation Contacts

Don't forget that the turntable has a very large hole in the center. You can run all kinds of things through this hole. That gives you a couple of alternatives: - You can run the wire for the motor through the large center hole of the turntable. (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Rotation Contacts
