  Recipricating motion problems
 
I have two 24 tooth gears. The lower gear is one hole down, six holes over from the upper gear. Like so (the @ are where the center of the gears are): @ @***** ^1 2^ I need to make it so that by turning gear 1 continusaly, in only one direction, (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

You need gears or a cam that allows an adjustment in the distance from the centerline of the shaft. A 24 tooth gear and a 40 tooth gear would allow you to accomplish such action. sorry but you lost me, whats a cam? If you mean an off center 40 tooth gear, i already tried that but it didn't work. i could get it to turn th other , but i could get it to turn it back again Jason (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)
