If I download and install the new firmware in my RCX, will the RCX code programming application be updated as well, to use the new firmware? (You know, the program where you add little pieces together to form a program) Or do I need a special (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

I dont know about the vision command, but the sdk avalible on mindstorms website (2.0 beta) does not update the application. They also are not offering a special upgrade kit (to my knowledge). The sdk does include a free programing interface, but (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Sorry, but what does NQC stand for? If you mean the RCX 2.0 beta SDK stuff, then yes, that is the beta for firmware V2. Jason (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

NQC is a programming language for the RCX by Dave Baum. It's similar to C (thus the name, Not Quite C). I can't remember the URL, though. --Tobias (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)
