The Star Wars sets are good for general parts, but not really good for robot
building--at least from what I can tell.

My highest recommendation for robot building expansion is the Code Pilot Bar
Code Multi Set (see http://www.lugnet.com/pause/search/?query=8479). It
contains another motor, 2 touch sensors, cables, 2 clutch gears, a
differential and ***lots*** of good Technic parts (1,263 pieces). It was on
sale from Shop at Home last Christmas for $99, regular price is about $150.

You should be able to get the Super Car from Lego Shop at Home, 800-453-4652
in the US.

Subject: good sets?

hi,

I left my boxes with Legos in Denmark when I went here to California
for a while. I'm building up my collection again with mindstorms and
I'm (of course) having too much fun.

Anyway, I only have the RIS, a few of the lod expansion kits
("sports" and something "moster" or whatnot (both were quite
disappointing) and now the Ultimate set.

I have tried to get the Super Car set since it looks like a set with
a lot of cool bricks. And a cool car to put together at first. But I
can't find it anywhere, not even online (except for ebay).

Where do you people go to find stuff like that?

Lego used to have an online store, no? Now I can only find the few
basic bulk parts to buy directly from them; and I even have to fax
an order?!

So my questions: What sets currently available contains lots of good
parts? Where can I get it?

Also, one of the local Toys'R'Us'es had some big "Starwars Ultimate"
sets. X-Wing for $150 and the tiefighter for $100. There was no
description of what parts it includes though. Would it be good sets
to get for a robot builder?
