If you have one of those Klutz LEGO Creations books handy, they show a working
ping-pong popper in the second half of the book. That should give you some
ideas; I wouldn't lift the entire design for risk of plagiarism. You'll
definitely need rubber bands, some sort of wind-up and release or catapult
mechanism, and optionally, a loading device.
