Challenge: Build a town navigator!

This isn´t a competition or so, just a challenge like the ones on
legomindstorms.com.

I´ve been trying to build this but I haven´t succeeded yet:

Can you build a robot that can follow a lego roadplate (through turns and such)
and that will turn if it hits something?

It could either follow the white markings on the roadplate, or turn when the
light sensor reads green instead of grey. I think that the white line would be
the best to follow.

Build it and let it loose in your town :-)

(If you´re planning to do this, perhaps you should think of a way to remote
control it, perhaps with another RCX or the Lego remote control.)
