CubeStormer - World's fastest LEGO Rubik's Cube solving robot

The world record for a human-solved random Rubik's cube is a little over 7 seconds. This robot can do it in about 8 seconds, minus the inspection time which is also not counted in human contests. It also has rare teal-colored Technic bricks. (URL) (...) (16 years ago, 19-Feb-10, to lugnet.robotics) !

  How is this?

One of my students built the chainsaw model from nxtprograms.com. He wanted to make the blade turn only when it was at a distance less than 9 inches from the table. So he attached an ultrasonic and made one mod to the program. The program in NXT-G (...) (16 years ago, 23-Jan-10, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

I've noticed that because the Emerald Night's two sets of driver wheels are locked together, the engine struggles to go around corners: the outer wheels have further to turn, so the wheels slip and the engine's movement becomes jerky. Would it be (...) (16 years ago, 19-Jan-10, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, FTX)
