Re: HELLO?!, LEGO CO. ! was: Will the educational arm of Technic & Mindstorms continue?

(...) More to the point, their competitors (eg MegaBloks) are churning out almost nothing BUT basic bricks. They have a very narrow range of parts. If Lego want to compete there, they need to play to their strengths which is their enormous inventory (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Vision Command XP

(...) This patch is only for preventing Mindstorms from automatically launching on an XP restart. (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: The BrickOS Task Manager

(...) Thank you again for the help, but unfortunately it only compiles when saved as a '.c' file. Some of my code depends pretty heavily on classes... is there any easy change to make this work as object oriented code? *just spent two hours trying (...)   Gyro & RCX

Hi, I want to hook up a rate gyro to the RCX. I already have a Servo port to hook the gyro into, but I want to use the output of the gyro as a sensor on the RCX.   RE: HELLO?!, LEGO CO. ! was: Will the educational arm of Technic & Mindstorms continue?

Disclaimer: My opinions are my own. Read at your own risk. I think it's very important that we all understand that the educational arm (Pitsco-Dacta) and the consumer arm operate under two completely different marketing concepts. That's why the (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Okay, then when LEGO said they would be dropping their electronics and movie tie in products, exactly what did they mean by "electronics" then? Mindstorms has been, afaik, LEGO's chief electronic product recently. We have two apparently (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)

  Re: External power supply ?

(...) You are right Chris, the train controller is not a good idea. Indeed all Lego adaptors (including the one for RCX 1.0) provide AC only. And turning the knob in the wrong direction is just too easy. Thanks for correcting my misleading (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics)
