Re: Yet another Technic 9V motor comparison update

(...) (snip) Just another post raving about what a great resource this is! You may know more about these motors than LEGO does! Thanks so much for sharing. (22 years ago, 3-Sep-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  All-Terrain

Hey Everyone, A couple friends and I have joined a contest (First Lego League), and the theme is Mars. They haven't given us the details yet, but we think they want us to build an all-terrain robot. So far, I've only got a few ideas: • Six-wheeled (...) (22 years ago, 3-Sep-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Yet another Technic 9V motor comparison update

Hi Pixel, (...) I think you're a bit harsh with this motor. Granted, no load current is much higher, but here we depend on friction alone so it is not very significant. Under load, current is indeed higher, but speed too, so mechanical power is (...) (22 years ago, 3-Sep-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Yet another Technic 9V motor comparison update

thanx philo it shows this new kind of motor is... pure... weak why it takes 10 times more current giving just 1/4 more rpm than 71427? and why it consumes almost 2 times more current with load? why they use it? i hope there were some cases (not only (...)   9v Motor Stripdown

Hi, I've got a friend who has a couple of 9v motors that have a broken shaft. I'm not too sure where it's broken but was wanting to know if anyone has a link to a site that has the details on how to strip on of these motors down to repair them? (...)
