  Re: RCX underwater

(...) I remember seeing an ad in some Oceanography magazine for a LEGO submarine that used the RCX in a sealed housing. From the diagram (line drawing) it looked like it used different motors. I also remember someone using a submerged 9 volt geared (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: intro and question

(...) Robolab is a wonderful tool for working with the RCX. I agree that the interface is unusual, but it accurately reflects the way that National Instruments (creator of LabView, the father of Robolab) views the world. They see everything as a (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: N. California Sites/Events?

Hi Wayne, The northern California hotbed of LEGO activity is the Bay Area-- BayLug actually meets fairly regularly (I think down in Fremont). Otherwise it is pretty dead up here, although a while back someone from the Reno area was looking for (...)   Re: Linux, Cygwin, DJGPP: what is it all about?

Wow. Michael, this helps a lot. Thanks. But now I have some other questions... (...) Yes, that makes sense. But having the LegOS image would save the "Beginning LegOS User" from needing to learn how to build that stuff, when that knowledge (how to (...)   RCX underwater

While searching around recently for information on ROBOLAB I found this URL that lists available products for purchase. One that caught my eye was a case, called waterproof housing, to use the RCX underwater (it is the last item at the bottom of the (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  re: intro and question

Thanks to all those who replied. I think the consensus is to move forward with the NQC. I am relieved that there is a GUI for it and will look into this. Steve - as for your point about there being easier ways to learn how to program, this is no (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Linux, Cygwin, DJGPP: what is it all about?

Ok, lets try to fiddle some things out. There seems to be a confusion about the software needed for running legOS and why. And there seems to be some confusion about what cygwin and DJGPP are. legOS runs user programs written in C and compiled to (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: N. California Sites/Events?

Thanks. I'm new to this game. I'm aware of bricklink but my initial take is that one needs to search their list on the home page for a dealer and then order through them. Maybe this isn't true. Maybe one just orders on bricklink and a dealer (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Transmit Frequency

Perhaps this link will help you: (URL) is a detailed description in the tips & tricks section. It shows how to change the frequency. The description is also available in english. Greetings, Bart (23 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics.cybermaster)
