Can the RCX 1.0 be upgraded to the latest RIS 2.0 firmware? If it can, are there any differences, or lacks there of, between the RCX 1.0 upgraded to RIS 2.0 firmware and the RCX 2.0 that ships with the RIS 2.0? (23 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Hello I am planing on building stero-head using rcx, and 2 webcam from lego studio. All ImageProcessing will be done on PC, RCX will be used to control til, pan, etc... psksvp (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

For anyone interested... I picked up a few 3VDC laser pointer modules from RadioShack recently for less than $10.00 each. The module is RS#277-1101. Here is a link to a picture of it next to a 2x4 brick. (URL) is a link to the PDF file for the (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

And, you'll probably hate my reply... "Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should."
