(...) Hey John, are you thinking of recording any of these sessions to maybe put a transcript up on the BrickFest site (or wherever)? That'd be *really* cool for those of us who can't get there... ROSCO (23 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

(...) Hum...so then how do I get Visual NQC to work? I installed RIS 2.0 on my computer, and try to use Visual NQC and it errors out with a "Component 'SPIRIT.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" Is (...) Thanks very much for the information, but I don't have the Microscout in front of me and won't be able to get my hands on it for a while. I'll probably have RIS 2.0 before I get to my Microscout. When I do get it, I'll give it a shot. Again, thanks (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) The main problem comes from the heat generated. This isn't a problem, unless you're driving motors fairly constantly with your RCX, but can eventually cause the diodes to break down. Of course, when one half of the rectifier goes, you can (...) (23 years ago, 19-May-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Around a year ago I suppose I asked about curved feet - building a robot with human-like walking characteristics. | | Serial cable for Dacta Interface 70909?
|
|
I have just bought (second hand) a bunch of Lego Dacta things (9701, 9702) with the computer interface 70909. Of course the serial cable supplied was of the wrong type - Cybermaster Female-Female, this interface needs Male-Female. Does anyone know (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

The current is going through two silicon diodes though, with attendant .5 volt drop through each so consider if that will be a problem in this application. Likely its not. (...) Tom Napolitano tomnap@bersama.net (23 years ago, 18-May-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)
