Re: Review - DIRPD Mindstorms Sensor

(...) Thanks for that, Dave. As more non-LEGO (aftermarket) devices come out I wish there were more reviews. It's one thing to read the specs and quite another to read about a successful project using the part, stating its effective range, saying (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: missing part

(...) The earlier RIS sets included a parts list. You can verify against that list. LEGO has a very good reputation for correcting this type of problem via their customer service line. Don't know what that is in Switzerland, though. (24 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  missing part

Hello together, I bought an RIS2.0 kit at christmas. I have the feeling, that I may have a missing part. I am missing the 4th tire, which is for example needed for the the Acrobot (the biggest tire). Has anybody experienced something like this? Is (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Ants, grasshoppers and "America"

Americans? Americans would have to live in America. But the America I remember is gone. The one that helped Europe and Japan up out of the rubble of W.W.II. The big Dam projects. The interstate Highway system, communication, electrification, stuff (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Review - DIRPD Mindstorms Sensor

Hi all, Not sure if there is a better place for sensor reviews, but I figured that Robotics would be a good start. Forgive me if I posted to the incorrect place. I have completed my review of the TechnoStuff Dual Infra-Red Proximity Detector (DIRPD) (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Rotation Sensor Information

I agree this is the heart of the problem... I made a small experiment and saw strange things on my scope. Has anyone already open a Lego rotation sensor ? I'd like to have a look to internal photographs and/or see a circuit diagram. I tried to open (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: FW: The Ant & The Grasshopper

Here's a simple solution. If the Government stops taking our money they can not give it away. If Government stayed small in the first place there would be no taking from one and giving to another. If there were no Fed Healthcare, Public Schools, (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Fwd: FW: Social Security

Here is the quickest, easiest simplest and most fair solution. KILL the whole program (Social Security and the Politician one)! Stop being stupid and relying on the government to solve all your problems. Hopefully, you're intelligent enough to (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Precise turns of any angle! -- Rotation Sensor Information

(...) Excellent! Someone who *knows*! (...) I guess so. You kinda have to hope that Lego designed the sensor to work when directly connected to a motor though - they surely imagine that this will be the most common use for 'naive' users. (...) OK - (...)
