Set 7163 Republic Gunship

Four Clone troopers, Jedi Knight, Two Super Battle Droids,One Destroyer Droid
Excellent Set that comes packaged in nine seperate bags. Each sub-assembly
sets the stage fro the next step, and an experienced builder wil have it
done in about 90 minutes. Until the cockpit assembly is in placethe front of
the ship is somewhat "loose". The gunner blisters are a unique touch, I just
wish the frony cannons had a greater range of motion.
Section one is the Gun Blister housing and opening vrtical panels at the rear.
Section two is the opening front lower level with the front blasters. The
blaster cannon mount is something youu have to see to believe.
Section three is the upper body and wing mount. Located in the bback of this
stage is another blaster cannon facing to the rear
Section four is the pilots cockpit, a nice simple design.
Section five is the wing assembly, again a straight forward design.
All in all, I'm impressed with this release and look forward to seeing if it
comes anywhere near close to what the movie shows. The modular design allows
for the wing and cockpit assembly to be seperated from the lower levels,
allowing for a "base" and a fighter craft. For playability, this set starts
to bring back what I remember from building many years ago.

I still don't plan on getting it mind you (just don't like it), but hey its still interesting to note. And why did they have to put the two (...) | Thanks for the review, Dave. I was wondering about this puppy, but ran out of moolah before I could pick it up. The wing assembly looks a little iffy from the pictures, but I'll walk by faith and trust that it's got more bones to its bones than it (...)
