(...) I don't think a blacksmith would have worn a peasant's cowl. Firstly, because it gets very hot in a forge. And secondly because a blacksmith was a skilled artisan, probably a guild member, and so would have dressed a bit more upmarket than a (...) (23 years ago, 20-Feb-02, to lugnet.reviews)
