Hi guys,

The catalogue looks like the one in 2001. Disappeared from the
collection are Pooh Bear, Scala, Mickey, Artic, the little racers and
the special re-released models. The just last autumn launched Duplo
emergency station (2811) has been available for only 4 months. Belville
has a lot of recognizable LEGO parts in nice transparent-, light blue
and pink parts and has 6 new sets. The target group is 4+ and it has
large parts to make a quick set up. Jack Stone (JS) has 2 new sets too,
a little fire station and a front loader an a heavy load truck. The
truck is also a part of set no. 4607. There are 5 new football- or
soccersets in miniland. There's a motor symbols next to the picture of
set no 3422, I wonder why. A creative solution has been made to create
an indoor game. Just wait to see the release of a set of extra balls.
Knights Kingdom and Adventurers get minimal space, I wonder when they
disappear. The Alpha Team gets new sets as well, with large JS like
parts and elements of little racers. The Ogel center 6776 is changed
into 4795, Ogel’s underwater station and has the same price. Nothing new
at trains, the third time.
Harry Potter (HP) gets 3 new sets. The flying lessons, Troll in the Hall
and Gringottsbank include a little stretch of gray rails to illustrate
the descent to HP ’s own locker. When you buy all the HP sets, the
student appears right of the start 9 times in your LEGO world. Racers
loose 8 sets, de tiny ones, ages 4+, but gain another 8, 6+ instead.
They make the connection with Technic Slammers and other LEGO racers.
They have 6 different pullback engines, their prices and structure
varies too. They have large JS elements in blue and green. Six old
racers are replaced by 4 others with Bionicle and Technic like parts.
Strange is the resurrection of SW, the sets were on discount in the
shops and now TLG is bringing 6 new sets. The 7200 – 7204 cost 9.99 E
and form nice pairs. The price is a bit high but the sets consist of
nice parts. Both the other sets are a part of the SW stories. Yoda is
new and comes in the Ultimate Collector series. Technic looses some
models but gets two new ones R2 D2 (8009) and Darth Vader (8010). The
catalogue looks like there are coming even more sets later this year.
Bionicles looses the 6 little Toas, But there 8 new larger ones. The 12
old masks are coming in silver and gold and even 8 new ones too. The
Tractor Puller (8457), Front Loader (8464) and Vorklifter (8463) are
history. It ends with a lot of software, some games fit only in one or
two gaming machines. The new elements in Cargo, Wear, Watches and clocks
are strange since TLG has pronounced Back to Basics. Last but not least
TLG Germany hasn't raised their prices since they are printed in the
guide, compliments. Just curious to see if TLG in Holland has enough
strength to withstand the pressure of the retailers and has the
creativity to print their prices.

Greetings

Nico

(...) The motor is a wind-up motor that let's you give greater "speed" for your goalie to catch the balls... :) (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.reviews)
