Background:

It was my son's birthday so I we headed over to TRU to pick out gifts. My son
got a some LEGOs and Nintendo games, but I knew I could not leave empty
handed. Knowing it was one of those "big plastic piece" sets and that it would
be around only for a year, I bought 5956, Air Zeppelin
--------------------------------------------------
Set Number: 5956
Set Name: Air Zeppelin
Piece Count: 170
Theme/Subtheme: Adventurers/Jungle
Price Paid (Retail)[S@H]: $19.99 ($19.99)[$22.00]

FIGURES: The normal Adventurers fare. Rudo Villano, Johhny Thunder, Dr.
Charles Lightning, and Harry Cane

MODELS: There are two in this case-

Sun Disc holder-It is very simple. A sun-disc is stored behind a
spider web. The sun disc holder is on 1x4 grooved bricks and when you push it,
the spider web pushed up. And it is topped all off with a skeleton head. No
big deal here.

Air Zeppelin-Yes, it is a big plastic piece and it is sort of stupid,
but I can live with it. The interior includes a steering wheel up front with
Adventurers windshield, a binocular holder that is suppose to serve some
purpose (microscope?), and a cool little skeleton head inside of a crystal
ball in the rear covered area. The Zeppelin moves itself with a pair of 4-
cylinder engines each powering one propeller. Normal Adventurers wheels are on
the bottom, and there is an anchor on a chain (I love the chain piece).

Overall-Good. Could be better and I would like a more detailed
interior and a nicer land part.

--------------------JUST STUFF--------------------
Cool pieces: spider (black, x1), leaf plant (green, x1), Adventurers map (x1),
anchor (dk. grey, x1), chain (light grey, x1), submarine windows (x2, light
grey/clear glass), skull heads (x2), sun disc (x1, gold), 1x4 groved bricks
(x2, yellow), crystal ball (x1, clear), Adventurers windshield (x1, clear and
undecorated)

and four tail stickers (TOTAL: 15)

My views on ADVENTURERS as a theme:
Since LEGO started a new era in 1997, Adventurers has been the best new idea
to come out of it. It finally brings mummy's and temples and dinos to the
world of LEGO. I build theme parks (so far I have two. I finshed the web site
and now AOL won't let me publish it, so I have to start all over on another
server! ugh!) so Adventurers makes a great addition (though please note, my
theme parks are currently mostly just landscaping with the actual sets in it.
I am desgining a third theme park which will feature tons of MOCs). Anyway,
enough about theme parks. I love Adcenturers. I have all the desert ones, and
some of the jungle ones (and I plan on buying all of them), and I LOVE the
dino ones best of all. Town is still my favourite, but until Town goes back to
its roots, I'll stick with mainly Adventurers (though I collect all themes).
