444 pieces, $50 US retail or $70 Canadian.

The candy shop is sweet, but, in my opinion, should have been put in a
separate set on its own.

The "converter" one-piece brick is neat and could provide some fun for
the target audience.

There are some very nice touches to the main model, and some "rare" pieces
that haven't been made in a long while (eg. the 2 x 2 45 degree concave slopes).

Color issues aside, the set is well worth buying, in my opinion.

There are a couple of printing errors in the instructions.  My set in particular
had a "correction" in black/white, but the set didn't have the correct
piece in it.

Also, noticed that "Sirius Black" in the 2nd page, where the mini-figs are
shown has a 'Harry Potter' hair piece instead of the his usual hair piece.

The other comment I have is regarding Snuffy the Dog (the Grim, Sirius Black in
his animagus form).  The piece makes a nice addition to the lego line-up but
not exactly realistic as far as the movie goes.

As in "wolfman" Professor Lupin, can kick Snuffy's behind.

Ratings:

Playability: 3 seperate models (4/5)

Set Design: less juniorized than some of the other sets out (4/5)

Alternate models: only 1 pictured (pictured on back of box and instructions)
(2/5)

Value: $50 / 444 pieces = 11 cents a piece (average for sets today, still
a bit on the pricey side, with benchmark at about 10 cents a piece). (3/5)

Overall: 13/20 minus 1 point for some negative quality control issues
(printing errors in instructions)

12 out of 20.

(...) I have just finished buiding two copies of this set, the correct piece was loose in the box, did you accidentally throw it away without noticing it ? (...) I counted the parts, (if you count the parts the way Peeron does, ie; a minifig is made (...) (20 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.harrypotter)
