| I have been using Outlook and Outlook Express quite a long time now (current version is 4.72.3110.5) and I haven't find such problems you have described. The only thing it won't regocnize is when it will start with <URL:> such as <URL:(URL). (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.robotics)

| (...) (Sorry if this is off-topic.) The format "<URL:(URL)" is a proposed standard way to embed URLs in normal text according to RFC 1738. | Outlook is a mail/news program, not browser. It should be sufficient to recognize based on <http:>, <ftp:>, etc. The <URL:> won't add any information. -et (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.robotics)
