I’ve had two “mens’ magazines” ask me for hi-res pictures of my church. They seem to assume I’ll be delighted with the request. One offered monetary compensation, the other apparently thought I’d be so delighted they’d just offer copies of the magazine.

Anyone know why they might be interested?

To make fun of us all in a snide way, would be my guess, if it’s the sort of mags I’m thinking of...

Need we assume that their intent is to mock, though? I recall seeing the LEGO-compatible Tyco Superblocks Phone (as shown here) in a “cool stuff” column in Playboy about fifteen years ago. In that article, the phone was quite highly (and correctly) regarded as a cool desktop ornament.

Amy: Are you at liberty to disclose which magazines have approached you, or would you prefer not to say?

Dave!
