Ozbricks.net is down AGAIN and I am getting tired of my website getting
offline while everybody at ozbricks.com gets to see theirs.

So, I'm asking if anyone knows any good website hosts under 6 or 7 dollars a
month, preferebly with no yearly upfront payment.  It should have no ads,
and maybe an email address, domain name, subdomains, and other goodies.

Does anybody have any suggestions for hosts?  What do you guys use?

Well, this was a special case.  A link page called Fark.com linked to the
Lord of the Rings pages on ozbricks, which pretty much crushed the server
into a pulp.  About 16,000 clicks, according to the fark.com page.  That, my
friend, is the slashdot effect, and it can bring even the best amateur web
pages to their knees.

And to think that when my page, The Kingdom of Ikros, hosted on Ozbricks.com,
was put up on Slashdot, Ozbricks.com didn't seem to even flinch.  I had 14,000+
hits in one day and my website never disappeared.

Here is the reply I got from Michael when ozbricks.net disappeared the first
time:

"There was a bandwidth issue with all the .net accounts, but that is fine
now, but ozbricks.com will never run out of bandwidth as it has to be able
to cope with e-commerce traffic, so it is top priority 24 hours a day... so
there is no limit."
