Kevin,

In order to help get things moderated quickly, I would like to suggest
the following ...

Count the number of times the "This folder has not yet been made
public" message is displayed for each folder.  Then, change your
algorithm for selecting folders to be moderated so that the ones which
have had that message appear the most get moderated first.  This helps
in two ways:

* Folders which have been there longer will be more likely to be
moderated, since it's more likely people will have traversed the
  tree to find them.

* Items posted to lugnet.announce.moc will be moderated sooner than
items that are not intended to have a wide audience.

* In general, what people want to see will be made available as soon
as possible, and what people aren't clamoring to see can wait until
  later to be moderated.

P.S.: Also, *please* shrink the screen width so that the "Next" button
appears on an 800x600 window (such as featured on my laptop computer)!
Currently each page has this HTML tag:
<TABLE WIDTH=840 BGCOLOR="#d0c0e0" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=5 BORDER=0>
All I ask is that you either reduce 840 to a smaller number, or use a
relative size like 80%.  Thanks...

AMAZING BUT TRUE: There is so much sand in northern Africa that if it were
spread out it would completely cover the Sahara Desert!

(...) Or take a cue from the Macintosh OS 8.5 and up: place the Previous and Next anchors next to each other (maybe even a pair in each corner of the image). (22 years ago, 28-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)
