  Re: Hit Counters?

(...) uhhh... Brickshelf gallery is not part of Lugnet - it's part of Brickshelf, which is run by Kevin Loch. If you want to post it here someplace where he can see it, I'd try in lugnet.publish, or just write to him personally :) :) FUT (...)   Enter the Dragon

You must fwow wike the wata.... My friends, I have added a page to my site devoted to my dragon MOC. 4 feet long, a 4 foot wing span, she is a sight to see. There is a link on my main page now, to the page. There are 13 detailed pictures of the (...)   Re: hits vs files vs pageviews

(...) I go by visits (sessions), not pageviews (which I consider an important statistic as well) Exactly opposite what you were leaning toward... :) Cheers, --Ryan (25 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

  hits vs files vs pageviews

riddle me this, o' publish gurus :) what do you consider a "hit" for bragging rights? pageviews or files downloaded or requests? Just curious - I'm leaning twards pageviews, (with sessions a very important statistic as well), but wondered what (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

Re: New Scenes at BrickDreams, and Thanks

(...) It's fine, but you might want to set the 'Followup-To:' header to point at lugnet.cad.ray if you expect the discussion to wander in that direction (like, let's say, in-depth discussion of the tools you used and things like that). Otherwise, (...) (25 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.publish, lugnet.admin.nntp)

  Re: Combining 2x4 bricks

(...) true, but unavoidable. brickshelf was designed, as far as I know, to host picture (photoes) of lego creations, meetings, etc... since those are pictures that weren't generated by a computer, they will almost always be better compressed as (...)   Re: New Website - More LEGO Desktop Themes

(...) The problem with PCs is there's no standard layout - the default for the task bar is at the bottom, but it can be placed at the top or either side, and often is. Also there's other clutter like M$ Office shortcut bar, etc, which can also be (...) (25 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Re: New Website - More LEGO Desktop Themes

(...) Oh, lol - I only wish i could make my own icons - I will probally learn how in school, but not yet.   Re: New Website - More LEGO Desktop Themes

(...) On the subject of the logo location...the desktop images are specifically aligned for Macintosh computers. I never use Windows machines unless forced to do so at gunpoint, and I guess the versatility of my brick scenes have suffered as a (...) (25 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Re: Averaging a set of images?

(...) Did you want pic 33 to have way more weight than pic 1? Unless you do, you need to do the 2 at a time as a bracket instead of linearly if you're using PSP. (average 1 and 2, then 3 and 4.... 31 and 32, 33 and 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6 ... 27-28 and (...) (25 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Averaging a set of images?

(...) d'oh! I never even looked up convert for this task. Seems kinda anti-intuitive for this to be a conversion task. I was using "mogrify -average" (and, failing that, "combine -blend"), which describe having the average function in the docs but (...)   Re: Averaging a set of images?

(...) I used to do a lot of that... of course, using matlab it's really really simple... odd, I tried useing 'convert' from the ImageMagick package and it seemed to work ok for me... how's it failing you? (25 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Averaging a set of images?

Hey folks, I'm trying to average a bunch of images in batch process. Basically, I have 33 pics, so I average pic 1 against pic 2, then average the result of that against pic 3, and so on, until I process pic 33. Paint Shop Pro doesn't let you do (...)   Using a Lugnet member's page as a splash page for a Brickbay store.

Well? Is it something that would be allowed? I've (briefly) tested it, and confirmed that it works, but I'm not certain about whether or not it's OK with Lugnet for me to do this. Aside from any thoughts of "appropriateness" with having Lugnet's (...) (25 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.publish, lugnet.admin.general)
