I submitted the following request to the Quaker Oatmeal Consumer Relations
group about a week ago:
"I've heard that there is a LEGO promotion going on with the Oatmeal product.
My son loves the product and my other two kids love Grits. I live in
Coppell, Texas (a suburb of Dallas) and have not seen any of the "specially
marked" packages. Is this promotion limited to a certain area within
certain geographic areas? If so, is there anyway I can participate if the
promotion is not going on in my area.
Any help you can provide regarding the LEGO promotion would be most
appreciated.
Thanks!
Karl Barger"
Here was their reply, dated 01.12.2001:
"Thanks for your OatMail about our current Lego Promotion.
This promotion is very new. The specially marked boxes are just getting
into the stores. For this promotion you will need to collect 24 empty
packets from any Quaker Instant Oatmeal and send in $1.99 for each kit
ordered. You will also need the official mail in certificate from the
specially marked boxes. Look for them soon at your grocers.
Your continued interest in our products and promotions is appreciated.
Suzanne"
I don't think this promotion is limited to certain areas of the country.
Happy building!
