Re: WTB: 1x4 black plate w/side vert. rod, down

Hi Dave, Two things: a. Exactly what piece is this? Can you point out a number in the partsref? ( accessible from the lugnet homepage) b. I'm not sure if this is a piece often used by pirateers but you might have a better chance of finding what you (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

WTB: 1x4 black plate w/side vert. rod, down

Greetin's ye swabs, I be lookin' for nine o' these pieces so me riggin' will have the studs pointin' up so me crew can unfurl the sails. I'd pay a dollar a piece fer 'em. If none o' ye have any fer sale, can anyone recommend a way to this with other (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Replacement Rigging (was Re: Ironclad _La Gloire_ virtually complete)

(...) I've used them, but in "wrap" form--sandwiched into some other construction. But the cording seems too thick to hold well between bricks. The thread, as you noted, will work between 'em--the problem is that I only had one piece of unused (...) (25 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats, lugnet.build)

Re: Ironclad _La Gloire_ virtually complete--mini-page up

(...) Have you considered taking Lego string out of convenient unused winches? I've found that in general, clamping the end of a string between bricks is as good a hold as the little 1x1 round ends. Come to think of it, you could actually even use (...) (25 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats, lugnet.build)

Re: Ironclad _La Gloire_ virtually complete--mini-page up

(...) I'll see if I can get any. It is a bit threadbare--I don't have enough TLG-approved rig to do what I want to do, not to mention not having any sails cut! :) The problem with the rig is that it's very hard to photograph, being black and in a (...)   Re: Ironclad 'La Gloire'

(...) Ah. On the Qui-Gon head, you've got me. But the other parts are also known from many other sets--especially the big shuttle from several years ago, that had *six* (!) of the half-cylinders and a bunch of 4x4 rounds. Gadzooks, I'm swimming in (...) (25 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Ironclad 'La Gloire'

(...) Tony beat me to the explanation of the SW comment...I included the stacks and the Qui-Gon head as SW elements, forgetting that other Castle and Ninja theme sets use the 4x4 rounds as wheels... (25 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

The ratlines(?) look a bit threadbare, but the overall effect is very shiplike :-) (25 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats, lugnet.build)
