(...) Actually, because a lot of people with good technical expertise and interest read .pirates and not .boats (IIRC). And yeah, I was thinking about just modeling the tops of the boilers...but I haven't settled on a solution yet. best LFB (25 years ago, 6-Feb-00, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

Do any part of the boilers in a capital ship of the mauve decade protrude above waterline? Maybe you should just suggest the top of the boilers on the lowest deck? And why is this cross posted to Pirates?? :-) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

Re: 6267 Good Bad or Ugly?

  6267 Good Bad or Ugly?

I just won an E-Bay Auction for a 6267 Lagoon Lock up. I paid about $28 Total and thought I got a Very GOOD Deal, however the lack of bids had me thinking otherwise.   Re: Boilers

(...) Yeah, I figured they were way too small for a ship by themselves--my thought was to install a dozen or so (for a whopping 180 BHP)...but the problem with the three-deck model is that the ship isn't full-hull, it's waterline.   Re: Gee, 6271 is now a "very large ship"!

(...) True. Perhaps I should drive up the price... In a week or so, I need to make another inventory of my pirate ship parts. What has been amazing is how easy it is to get sails. I also might have more 6271 center sections than 6280! (I have more (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Gee, 6271 is now a "very large ship"!

According to: (URL) is a "very large ship". Of course there are 4 ships which are larger, 1 the same size, and 2 (or so) smaller (the or so is 6493 and the cutter from 6277). (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)
