  6267 Good Bad or Ugly?

I just won an E-Bay Auction for a 6267 Lagoon Lock up. I paid about $28 Total and thought I got a Very GOOD Deal, however the lack of bids had me thinking otherwise. The Set included 3 blue soldiers and the Large Blue Flag (Which I thought was very (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Gee, 6271 is now a "very large ship"!

(...) What about the sailboats?;) Alan (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Boilers

(...) Yeah, I figured they were way too small for a ship by themselves--my thought was to install a dozen or so (for a whopping 180 BHP)...but the problem with the three-deck model is that the ship isn't full-hull, it's waterline. I wish I could (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

Re: Gee, 6271 is now a "very large ship"!

(...) Yea, the rich man's watch feature... I did see in their announcements that they will be adding a watch feature soon. Hopefully it will be implemented such that on one page you will see all the auctions you're bidding in plus the ones you're (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Gee, 6271 is now a "very large ship"!

(...) whole (...) Too late for that! I just put in an opening bid to get it to appear on my personal page (items I am bidding on). It's easier to keep track of that way. Putting in an early high bid just invariably runs up the price. (...) It's easy (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Gee, 6271 is now a "very large ship"!

(...) whole (...) I really hope you don't. Some of us are trying to start a collection. (Like me) And it has already jumped quite a bit. Yo Ho! (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Gee, 6271 is now a "very large ship"!

(...) True. Perhaps I should drive up the price... In a week or so, I need to make another inventory of my pirate ship parts. What has been amazing is how easy it is to get sails. I also might have more 6271 center sections than 6280! (I have more (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Gee, 6271 is now a "very large ship"!

(...) Hey, for the current bid of $3.99, I'm not gonna quibble (of course, the whole point of him saying it is a very large ship is to drive up the price). Bruce (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Gee, 6271 is now a "very large ship"!

According to: (URL) is a "very large ship". Of course there are 4 ships which are larger, 1 the same size, and 2 (or so) smaller (the or so is 6493 and the cutter from 6277). (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate Page Update

(...) How did I forget that one? I also added 6716 Weapons Wagon (cannon). I added listings for the Ninja and Wild West themes. (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate Page Update

(...) Shanghai Surprise. Only 1 of the 6x7 bow pieces, but it has a black musket and pistol, treasure chest, and several gems. From the Ninja line. Bruce (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate Page Update

(...) The one that comes to mind is the Castle line Sea Serpent. Ummmmmmmm, the Witch's Wind ship for the shrouds/ratlines. No pirate page yet, though I do have mom-in-laws digital camera (and a very nice one it is) for the weekend. Selling lots of (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Pirate Page Update

I'm doing some updating of my pirate page at: (URL) you have a pirate page which isn't listed, please let me know (I am perusing lugnet.pirates to see if I'm missing anything). I've also started a reference of usefull non-Pirate sets. I've put in (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Boilers

(...) Oh, I would say they look _great_ as far as a small boiler goes...in fact, they look a lot like a boiler I may get the chance to help retube at school...but it supplies steam to a 15 BHP engine...so not all that much power...and our steam car (...)   Re: Boilers

James is right, but I still like the way they look. L, you're right, those star wars elements even kind of look like a grate looking into the firebox. I could see using these boilers inside a small machine shed in an older factory. The problem with (...) (25 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Boilers

(...) Lets put it this way, if they are that selectivly compressed, each one is about big enough to power a boat 2x the size of a rowboat! They would be in real life MASSIVE structures, on the order of 15' across each, and the same high. Small ones (...) (25 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

Pirate Ships, and Forts WANTED! (Still)

I am still searching for big Pirate Ships and big forts. Cash, or trade for: Mindstorms Droid Developer Kit 9748 (sealed packs), Railway Express 4561 (sealed packs), Technic Space Shuttle 8480 (MSIB) Technic Beach Buster 8252 (MSIB) and of course my (...)   Boilers

Hi all, I've been having the biggest trouble filling my new ships with machinery. I have, for your consideration, a rough .jpg of a pair of small-bore oil-fired boilers on a display plate with a little naval officer for scale (yes, they're (...)   Re: John E. Doolittle

SNIP (...) comes (...) Awfully sorry about that, it seems he already has several people in a not-happy mood at him. That's what I get for not re-reading the back-story. Perhaps Capt. Otto vW can be the "worst" sort of merchantman Doolittle takes on. (...) (25 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) through a very echo-ey place here) Capt. Doolittle needs a Nemesis. A thorn in his side. How about the Captian that Waite hires to un-do Dolittle? Meet Captain Otto von Wurstluk. (fanfare and appropriately martial music comes up). Captain (...) (25 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)
