As some of you may be aware, the two brands Cobi and Best-Lock merged not
too long ago, thereby giving Cobi access to the US market and also sweeping
that gosh-awful non-compatible Best-Lock stuff into the dustbin.
Anyway, the first offerings from the new Cobi/Best-Lock chimera were military-
and town-themed, but lately some pirate-themed sets have trickled into the
market.
Here’s a sample of one of the ships, just for the sake of info. You might see
them in a local TRU, along with other sets from the same brand.
Overall, the quality of these bricks is substantially better than you’re likely
thinking, so if nothing else I think you should at least check them out on the
shelves. YMMV, of course.
