Re: Expanding the range of pirate headwear

Wait, you mean the minifigs come with their headwear permanently attached? That's just . . . wow . . . :( (18 years ago, 17-Aug-06, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

Re: Expanding the range of pirate headwear

(...) I also like that set a lot, I have two myself. (...) I also have used one of the hats, and I loved the look of it. I have only used one so far because it was so difficult to remove from the head. I don't have any fancy tools, so I used a sharp (...)   BrickFest Castle and Pirates Update

BrickFest 2006 Castle and Pirates Update Are you bringing historic mocs to BrickFest? If so, they will be arranged in the Castle area layout. This will include Castle, Vikings, Pirates, Western, Roman, and likely Adventurers. If you have any (...)   Expanding the range of pirate headwear

Ahoy, It's no secret that I'm a fan of the much maligned: [LEGOSet 7075] But the figures included have been an issue for me, so I finally decided to write them off, but make some use of them: (URL) It's not easy to use the hats. The hats are joined (...) (18 years ago, 16-Aug-06, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX) !!

  Re: The Marathon

(...) Ahoy Sean Marathon is very nice looking! The white and blue colour scheme sets off some really nice work. I'm not convinced about the 'reverse tumblehome', but it certainly yields more usable deck space. I'm thinking that Marathon would look (...) (18 years ago, 6-Aug-06, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  The Marathon

Ahoy again mates. My second go around at a ship, I was able to throw some ideas I had after I finished the Corinthian into this. I think it looks better not being as tall and being longer, but I'd be interested in hearing everyone else's opinion as (...)   LEGO ships instead of regular game bits

John K made lego ships that fit on the (URL) board just fine. (URL) More pictures: (2 URLs) (18 years ago, 2-Aug-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: nearly done my frigate..oops!

(...) As far as the rigging goes, what you have on the foremast looks great. Unfortunately, there's not an easy way to turn groups of stays into ratlines... and if you use Lego ratlines further aloft, the lower rigging will look oddly thin. I've (...) (18 years ago, 28-Jul-06, to lugnet.pirates)

  nearly done my frigate

Well after my frigate being dismasted and wrecked by the twin storms Joshua and Riley (my two boys) my ship is once again nearing completion. Still working on the rigging and the captain's cabin. What do you think? any suggestions for the rigging? (18 years ago, 27-Jul-06, to lugnet.pirates)
