  The barque Dodelijk Klompschoen

Not long after the shipwrights abducted for the construction of the Revenge arrived back in Port Brique, an entirely new vessel arrived, leading to speculation that this new, mysterious, three master had also been built by the abducted artisans. The (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jun-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

  Re: The schooner Madeleine's Daughter

(...) For months and months now I have been trying fervently to stay away from getting involved with ships and ship building both for the sake of my finances and for the sake of my own sanity as I try to develop my building skills (I am already (...)   The schooner Madeleine's Daughter

Ahoy! The Mayor of Port Brique had long felt the need of personal transport, not always wanting to impose on the French Squadron, and thus commissioned the shipwrights to build him a vessel. His requirements were simple, speed, agility, appropriate (...) (19 years ago, 3-Jun-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

  Re: W I D E hull sections, anyone?

(...) Richie, First off, get yourself a razor saw, this will give you cleaner cuts that remove less material. I'd recomend cutting the sections down the middle , and not offset. Make you initial cut across the top. Then flip it over, anduse side (...) (19 years ago, 1-Jun-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

  W I D E hull sections, anyone?

Ahoy, It has long been discussed, and (URL) claimed> once – but no evidence has been provided. But I have done it! I’ve cut six centre sections, and a single bow section, as that is what’s needed for the rebuild of my (URL). No widened stern (...)   Re: Spanish galleon of the treasure fleet

(...) Wow. Wow again. That's spectacular. Bravo! (19 years ago, 21-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: Spanish galleon of the treasure fleet

(...) This is the best Lego boat I've ever seen, it's hard to believe it's made out of bricks and not any pre-made forms. One aspect I really like about this is how you've managed to achieve a sort of iceberg quality, you just assume that this boat (...) (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: Spanish galleon of the treasure fleet

Jaw Dropping. simply amazing. Terry (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: Spanish galleon of the treasure fleet

Absolutely beautifull!!! I especially like the use of the aztec head pieces as detail for the railings, and the galleries on the stern... A great work! You're also attracting many compliments in this (URL) thread> . Great work ripples all through (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: Spanish galleon of the treasure fleet

WOW. This thing is amazing, I don't even know where to start. All the details are beautifully thought out and executed, you can tell that you didn't rush through any part of the design and really nailed all the details. Best sailing ship I've seen (...)   Re: Spanish galleon of the treasure fleet

(...) I agree with George, this is far and away the best sailing-ship MOC I've ever seen on Lugnet. Awesome! (I can literally say my jaw dropped when I first saw it.) You get a great image of the almost gaudy opulence with which these ships were (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: Spanish galleon of the treasure fleet

(...) Ahoy Nicely done indeed! Big, ornate, and armed to the teeth. The sterncastle is perhaps a bit too square, but the presence of proper galleries is an authentic touch. Cheers Richie Dulin (19 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: Spanish galleon of the treasure fleet

Hello Volker, This is incredible! I remember seeing this in the background of pictures from what I assume was the Bavaria gathering you mentioned. I wished at the time that the builder would show us some close-up pictures, and here you've fulfilled (...) (19 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: Spanish galleon of the treasure fleet

(...) Marmaris, Wow, this is incredible. I am sure pictures don't do it justice, it must be spectacular in person. I think this is the best sailed ship I have seen posted here. Thanks, George (19 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: Spanish Galleon

(...) Hello James, there are 98 cannons in the whole ship, but most of them are somewhat "faked" - they are only light-gray minifig heads or 1x1 round bricks, fixed into technic holes inside the ship Marmaris (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.pirates)

Spanish galleon of the treasure fleet

Hello dear LEGO-fans, this is the first MOC I present here at LUGNET, so please apologize possible mistakes, I do with posting here. (URL) The ship is a spanish galleon, around the 16th century. It has been built last year for Bicking Bavaria 2004 (...) (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX) !!

  Spanish Galleon

Has anyone else seen this gallery? (URL) very impressive. I became transfixed trying to count the number of cannon on one side. Well done. James (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.pirates)

Review of 7075 Captain Redbeard's Pirate Ship

I am a fan of large sailing vessels, and I have several around the house, and a large appetite for shipbuilding supplies... BUT: [LEGOSet 7075] $A50, 132Pcs – Am I crazy? That’s nearly 38c a piece! Well, perhaps I am crazy, but then I am a fan of (...) (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.reviews, FTX)

  Re: The pirate sloop Revenge

(...) A nice little ship! I look forward to seeing better pics... What it will do against some of the more powerful ships from the same port I don't know... Though with the craftiness employed in taking her I am sure some loot can be 'obtained'. (...) (19 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: The pirate sloop Revenge

(...) Mmmmmm. I like it. A very stylish ship as always. Must keep an eye out for one of these pirate ships on sale. I look forward to your review in the hope that other bits are useful - have to say I kinda passed it over on my first look at the (...) (19 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)
