Just before dawn, redcoats are stirring...

His Majesty’s Government has warned, time and again, all of its enemies –– do not attempt to take advantage of Brickley’s cove while it is still under construction! But sources tell us of an attack being assembled to strike Brickley’s Cove, and from where it will come.

Thus, it’s time for a preemptive strike! And with the recent addition of 31 Royal Marines to Brickley’s Cove, Lieutenant Robert McEwan, of Flame (leading the party aboard his ship in the picture below), has plenty of manpower for the move.

Of course, it would be unwise to leave the unfinished base without protection, so the Fusiliers, Dragoons, and Royal Freedmen Volunteers will be staying with the Fencible Artillery. Only a platoon of the 49th, under Colonel Reynolds, the sharpshooters of the 60th Rifles, and the Marines will be joining the action...

Sorry some of these images aren’t as clear as they might be... I’ve been in a bit of a rush lately. Post moderation, the rest can be found at: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=56653

I’m afraid I’m pushing the final construction of Brickley’s Blockhouse et. al. onto the back burner for now. Between heading back to classes and promoting my new novel (*cough*http://www.icebergpublishing.com*cough*;-) I’m going to be rather busy over the next few months. Figured I should put the new Marines on display before I went back into seclusion...

Well hopefully these fine redcoats will keep His Majesty’s foes quiet until Brickley’s Cove is turned into a proper fortress!

Cheers,

Kenneth Tam

(...) Very impressive. A good thing that Brickeys Cove is on the other side of the world, or it might be a bit scary.... Adieu Richie Dulin (2 URLs) Port Brique Somewhere in the South Pacifique (2 URLs) Misérable Building a safer South Pacifique (21 years ago, 15-Sep-03, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)
