I like 'em fine.  The Armada Flagship in particular.  I find that the best
view of her is with her stern stuck up in the air, as her battered broken
bow points the way to Davey Jones' locker, and the victorious English
frigate's boats pick up survivors ;-)

Good source of parts though.  I have just finished making one over RR style,
and I'm quite pleased with the results.  The Governor of Port Block heard
about the dread pirate Doolittle's Aurora, and decided he wanted one just
like it.  And what the Governor wants.....

The armada figs were certainly attractive, but there just aren't enough of
them about.

Don't the Amazon Adventurer Indians make a passable tribe of New Worlders?

Anyone here know why Lego didn't make much of the Imperial Armada subtheme? There were only two official sets in the subtheme (6280 Armada Flagship and 6244 Armada Sentry). Sure, the guy with the red shirt with blue stripes (the sentry) was in (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jan-00, to lugnet.pirates)
