Re: Large Cannon MOC! Pirates Beware!

(...) Hey Ken, Thanks for the comments! I think the gun will be mounted on my port town and not in any ship. I'm not sure the ship could withstand the recoil of such a weapon. I'm hoping to maybe have a twin gun to go with it. I like your rating of (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Large Cannon MOC! Pirates Beware!

(...) Hi Richie, The mouth is a bellville bucket! There is one in set 5870. I'm not sure it comes in any other set or not. The other chrome parts are just the 2x2 round parts from one of the new creator sets. I hope this helps! Tom (22 years ago, 26-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Tired of being outgunned by pirates with deep loot-filled pockets?

(...) Yeah, me too- and I have only Armada Flagship, Red beard runner, and the hull and sails of the BSB. No wheels here, exept the ones scraped up from town sets. (...) Indeed! You can use larger 2X2 round plates mounted on the 1X2 plate with one (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Tired of being outgunned by pirates with deep loot-filled pockets?

There's a calculator for these things? Oh my, I've been working under the 1 stud = 1 foot system (based on the principle that each fig foot is one stud, and so one 'imperial' foot). I'm working from 'The Line Of Battle' (Conway's History of the (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Tired of being outgunned by pirates with deep loot-filled pockets?

(...) Brilliant! I've got plenty of those... I'll probably fix them onto the guns that are hidden under the forecastle and the quarterdeck -- the difference will barely be noticable... Thanks! Kenneth Tam (22 years ago, 26-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Tired of being outgunned by pirates with deep loot-filled pockets?

(...) Yes, I found my supply of small wheels (which I'd previously thought of as being large and annoying) suddenly dried up when I started carriage mounting a lot of my guns. My small cannon designs us 1x1 round plates as wheels, mounted directly (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Tired of being outgunned by pirates with deep loot-filled pockets?

(...) Woohoo! A franchise! : ) (...) Good old Carronades! You could probably squeeze a *couple* in! : ) (...) Well, I actually puzzled over this for hours. In stud-feet, Lego cannon are about 6 or 7 feet long, making them only as long as short 12s. (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: NWBrickCon

(...) Is there any interest in the Pirate Game for this event? Flush off the success of the game at BrickFest, I'd love to organize a game for NWBrickCon (and I know there's at least a couple Pirate fans around). Frank (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.events, lugnet.org, lugnet.pirates)
