Okay, I don't know why the upcoming Classics sets were selected to be
classics but I am not so sure I even like the idea of re-releasing old sets.
Yes, there are many excellent old Lego sets that I would like to purchase,
but the probability of the ones I want being re-introduced is very low.
Here is what I would propose:
No re-release of past Lego sets,
Instead--develop and release NEW Lego sets that are EXCELLENT and
on par (or better) than the best sets from previous years.
I have wanted a Black Seas Barracuda, a Skull's Eye Schooner, and another
Black Knight's Castle for years. However, I think I would prefer to new
and different sets that are equal or better than what has been produced
in the past.
In fact, (even though we have been asking for years) I favor the
reintroduction of complete themes including all of the various sizes
of sets to match TLC's targeted price points (small and mid-sized sets
always sell in far greater quantities than the full- and over-sized sets).
Let's not give up the fight for Pirate and Castle themes and sub-themes to be
reintroduced. The Classics will be here, and I will buy them along with
everyone else, but I am still waiting for New and Better sets to come along.
