I can live with this command....

So I'd post pictures of my latest MOC, but it's one week prior to BrickFest, and
I don't want to spoil the surprise. However, as a teaser, I'll tell you a bit
about it. That way you can at least come up with your own visual.

About 20 years ago, I started playing music professionally with a local rock
band (in Aiken SC, so local means crowds of 20 - 30 people). 5 years later I was
in my 6th band and had finally found a group that was making money and seemed to
be going somewhere. The band was called RYDER and our motto was: "4 talented
musicians and a drummer." I was the drummer. We toured for 3 years on the
weekends playing nightclubs, weddings, festivals and had a blast. Unfortunately
we never could break up to the next level so I went back to school and the band
just kept playing the local circuit.

Fast Forward to today: The real band is still playing from time to time,
although they have had a number of personnel changes over the years. They are
still just doing the local gig....however, in my fantasy world, I "rejoined the
band and we signed a major record contract." (hey, if it can't happen for real,
I can still dream about it).

In celebration of our band making the big time and selling an album that made it
onto the top 100 list, we signed another contract with MTV to film a video
during a public concert appearance. We were fortunate enough to have Joe Cocker
signed as a special guest front-man and had Tower of Power backing us up on
horns and vocals. So, during the weekend of BrickFest, Ryder will hold a special
free to the public concert at the Sand Hills outdoor ampitheater. For those of
you who have not been to Sand Hills, the ampitheater is just behind the public
park, about a block from the Sand Hills Hotel.

Come see the band performing hits from 20 years of touring and writing. Witness
the massive light show, experience the awesome vocal and horn work of Tower of
Power, and the electrifying presence known as "Mr. Joe Cocker". You can even
check out the band's brand new 45 foot cusom Prevost tour bus.

For those of you unable to make the transit to Sand Hills via BrickFest, I will
post pictures after the concert.

(...) Geoff - That concert ROCKED HARD CORE!!! Seriously, that was one of the coolest MOCs I've seen in a while. Aside from being plain impressive with all of the lights and everything, it was a lot of fun, too. We stood there for quite some time (...) (18 years ago, 1-Sep-06, to lugnet.people.support)

I am in need of LEGO therapy. My life is too stressfull right now to come to Lugnet and read pointless threads. I need to read about LEGO. I don't want to read about who did what to whom. I need to see new MOCs. Heck, I'd even read threads about (...) (18 years ago, 16-Aug-06, to lugnet.people.support) !!
