Hey all,
In the discussion on the future face of LUGNET, Suz said she wanted to see this
as an organized association of LUGs. This raised the question, to me, of how
members of the AFOL community see their involvement. As such, Ive written a
poll to ask this question:
If you consider yourself an active member of the community, please rate your
balance between activity in in-person communities (LUGs, LTCs, etc) and
activity in virtual communities (LUGNET and other on-line forums).
--All or mostly all involvement in in-person communities, little or no
involvement in virtual communities.
--More involvement in in-person communities than in virtual communties.
--Roughly balanced between the two types.
--More involvement in virtual than in-person communities.
--All or mostly all involvement in virtual communites, little or no involvement
in in-person communities.
--Other/this poll is flawed.
If you feel yourself to be an active member (use your own criteria) of the
AFOL community, how do you experience that community?
Yes, I know the obvious flaw in that someone who has little or no involvement in
virtual communities is unlikely to see this poll. Of course, such people would
also probably not take part in the future growth of LUGNET anyway.
Anyway: go take the poll.
