Hi, my name is John, and I've modded parts in a big project.
(everyone): Hi, John!
Yesterday morning featured the whining of the Dremel and the smell of melting
ABS, as I worked on repairing the window I messed up in our Plummer Building
project.
But, the "surgery" was a success! (Somewhat appropriate, since we were working
in one of the buildings of the world-famous Mayo Clinic.) Other than a few very
small nicks on the edges of the other bricks, you can't even tell that the
window was in the wrong place. I'm very pleased it worked out as well as it
did, and I'm very thankfull the other GMLTC members trusted me enough to let me
try -- because it could have easily been a disaster.
I'll be posting some pictures later this week, got two rolls of film to drop off
today. (Film? Yep - didn't even bother with the digital camera during the
project...)
The building looks fantastic, I can't wait to show off some pictures!

| Admitting you have a problem is the first step towards the cure. There's still hope for you yet! Congrats on you first successful mod! I look forward to seeing more from you now. Can't wait for the photos; especially those of dismembered bricks... (...) (20 years ago, 26-Sep-04, to lugnet.parts.mod)
