I bought one of the new $3.99 level racers this weekend and happily
discovered that it come with two of these parts in dark bluish gray:

I believe one of the $9.99 level racers sets comes with two as well.
I am glad my patience paid off. Previously, to my knowledge, these were
only available in the $19.99 construction set and the $69.99 factory set.
I’ll be buying many of these racers . . .
Great for train roofs and awnings on buildings.

I think I threw all the packaging and instructions out and I can’t find any
leaked pictures of it to use as reference. Sorry. I will double check
tonight when I go home. I know it comes with some orange 1x2 tiles and black
hubs on the wheels.

Actually, the packaging fooled me on this one. They are not light bley, they
are white. I bought one and was disappointed.

Slope Brick 45 1 x 1 x 2/3. A great set for parts (see
inv), even if you do end up with
loads of wheels and some strange (but probably actually useful with a bit of
thought) wheel arch parts

Yeah, I bought a few of those too. Not bad.
Wish I could be more helpful. . .
If someone knows where there are pics of the 2006 sets online please let me
know and I will point it out. The groups of pictures I have found do not
contain the $3.99 racers, they only contain the $9.99 racers.

| (...) Those are all the $9.99 USD selection racers. I believe the two 3x1 parts on the front of 8669 are dark bley. I did not buy this set, but on the packaging they looked like dark bley (though they look black here). The smaller, $3.99 selections, (...) (19 years ago, 15-Nov-05, to lugnet.parts, FTX)

| (...) So I did actually have the packaging from one of these. The item number is 8661, Name: Carbon Star. There are 3 more racers in the line: 8663, 8664, 8666. From the picture it looks as if 8666 comes with (8) of these slopes in black. All are at (...) (19 years ago, 16-Nov-05, to lugnet.parts, FTX)
