I took a few pictures of my loot, here they are:

Comments on the pictures:
gift:
Someone (Kevin?) had a bunch of these bags and was giving them away. Since I neglected to get one of these sets, and didn't get by
the outlet store when they had them, I happily took one.
store-all:
Here's a picture of everything I got at the outlet store (almost $600 spent)
store-scratch-and-dent:
Here's a picture of JUST the scratch and dent stuff (50% off)! Each of those shipping boxes has two sets (so I got 2 7150, 2 7171,
and 4 6190 in addition to all the visible boxes).
store-the-rest:
Here's the rest of the stuff (less the watch - which I finally found, it was several layers deep in one of my huge Rubbermaid tubs).
Note the fine mug and towel. I'll probably store pirate minifigs etc. in the big 2x2 boxes. Note the "prize". Near the end of the
scratch and dent grab, Buffie said she had a $42 set, not scratch and dent, that someone definitely wanted. People weren't jumping
for it (actually I was expressing interest, but Buffie must not have heard me over the people calling out "do you have any XYZs in
the scratch and dent?"), so she said it was and Octan set, at which point I yelled louder that I wanted it. What was the prize? A
copy of 6337 Fast Track Finish. I wasn't at all disappointed (I figured the way she was clueing it in that it had to be a set she
recognized as being of general interest, it's my 2nd copy, but I don't mind, I can use the white roof peaks). Note that I was rather
restrained on the Belville and Scala (I did look at all of them, and will probably end up ordering a couple more sets - they have
the older Belville stable which has the green ladders).
trades-etc:
Here are my trades, purchases from folks, and my grab bag from the K-8. Note the fine Brickfest 2000 T-Shirt. Sitting on the shirt
on the right are two white train cabs from 6557 that I traded some pirates to Buffie (including a pirate babe for her store name
tag). Between the shirts is my K-8 pickings. I've more than doubled my green slopes as well as picking up a bunch of other
interesting bits. To the right is what I traded out of Chris Weeks's Jambalaya Box. Sheree Rosenkrantz of Greensboro was delighted
with the Fabuland (though she was disappointed that I kept the yellow chest). Shhh, don't mention to anyone, I put two shooting
cannon service packs in for a trade (I hadn't brought a lot of trade stuff with me). I also got some red thin walls with cargo
stickers (for containers for my trains), and a pirate polybag which I wasn't sure if I had. Notice the stash of 7 6204s that Shiri
picked up for me. I've decided I will probably hold on to most of them to use as prizes in future pirate games. In the back is a
Royal Drawbridge which I traded a Sand Dollar Cafe to Chris Busse for (I did bring a box of sets for trading - worthwhile, after
realizing how many Sand Dollar Cafe's I had, and uncovering an unopened one, I decided to save it for trading for something
desirable). In front of that is the Shell Belville set, which Buffie had bought a bunch of and was selling.
truckload-1:
truckload-2:
Here's a picture of all the LEGO which came back in the rented Isuzu Trooper with me (well, my Black and Red Seas Barracuda's were
camera shy, so picture a large under the bed type plastic tub with two Barracuda's sticking up from on the top of the pile.... Note
the discovery at a well hidden Zany Brainy.
The list of ships that I brought is:
1 xxxx Red Seas Barracuda
1 6285 Black Seas Barracuda
3 6274 Caribbean Clippers
3 6271 Imperial Flagships
3 6268 Renegade Runners
1 6250 Cross Bone Clipper
1 xxxx Green Menace (AKA the squished bug)
1 xxxx Pink Dragon (6493 Flying Time Vessel hulls with the bowsprit from that set, sporting a pink sail from 5847)
2 6280 Armada Flagship
1 xxxx Brig
4 6277 Cutter
3 xxxx 6277 style cutters
1 xxxx narrow cutter
Believe it or not, I could have fit more into the truck, even if I moved all the stuff out of the front seat so that there was room
for a passenger (in other words, someone else could have rode up with me so long as they brought a small (well modest - I brought
and obscene amount of stuff) amount of stuff.
Go up one folder and over to my Pirate Game pictures (and check out the post in lugnet.fun.gaming for commentary).

| (...) That was me. :) I still have a bunch, dunno what I'll do with 'em, though... I wonder if they'd go for much on ebay... ;) Jeff (24 years ago, 23-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug)
