David, I am glad to see that this challenge is being tackled by another LEGO
based robotics group. I have to say that so far this has been the most

We found that robots that get stuck on the wall or in the corner that continue
to run their wheels will rub away the color on the paper mat leaving white lines
behind.

The tennis ball approach works well for the size of the ball, but not for the
mass. If you need to test that your robot can push the ball, remember that the
actual IR ball has 4 AAA batteries inside as well as some circuit boards.

Based on our experience with this challenge, your rules are great for starting
