September SMART Meeting Canceled

The Lego Roadshow is taking place the same weekend that we'd normally have our
SMART meeting. Since a number of us are participating at the roadshow, it has
been decided to cancel the normal SMART meeting that would take place on the
last Saturday of September. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
NWBrickCon is the following weekend, and the Workshop 3D RCX Challenge, and
Robothon are both a few weekends later. This is a lot of robot activities that
are going on in the next few weeks, and it has proven quite difficult to get a
room any other weekend in any case.
The next SMART meeting will be November 8th, at the Redmond Library. We will be
doing a BrickHeap Wars, so there's no mini-challenge to prepare for. We're
looking forward to seeing you then.
In the meantime, I would very much encourage everyone in SMART to come to
NWBrickCon on the first weekend in October. This event is being put on by the
three Lego clubs in the Seattle area, and one in Vancouver. Bring some of your
robots to display! We've got plenty of space, and would love to see your
creations. So would many other people. The robotics display at last year's
NWBrickCon was extremely popular! There's still a couple of days left to

Everyone is, of course, welcome to come visit us at the roadshow as well. It
will be near the International Fountain at the Seattle Center. Hours are Friday
3pm-7pm; Saturday 11am-5pm; and Sunday 12pm-5pm.
