Hi Everyone,
I have been asked by Wendy Lewis, the leader of a 4H Technology club in
Everett, to bring some robots to display/demo at a technology conference
that they are hosting. Unfortunately, I can make it and besides, most of my
RCX's are going to California with David Schilling. Is there anyone else
out in SMARTland who is interested in doing this? Here is the information I

Hi Gus,
Sounds like it was a great meeting last weekend at SMART, Craig was not able
to attend because he was not feeling well.
I have a favor to ask. On short notice our club is sponsoring the State 4H
Technolgoy Conference in Everett on Feb 8 & 9. Yea, real short notice!!!!
Anyway, I am trying to put together a Mindstorms demo for kids who know very
little to some more advanced in Mindstorms. Some of the kids who are coming
will have played with them before, but the kids from our county will be the
only ones who are really experienced. There will be 12 Washington counties
represented at this conference.
I would like to make it a group type of thing almost a mini-Robothon where
people can set up their stuff and show 4H kids what it is all about and how
to work it. The 4H kids do not have to touch it, but will be interested in
seeing them work. It would be nice if we could even have a demo
competition. I would love for them to see your line tracker and of course
anything else you or anyone else has to share.
So, do you know some folks who may be interested in this type of event? the
details are:
Saturday, Feb 8th from 3:30 - 5:30 at the Snohomish County Extension Office,
in south Everett, on 128th, just east of I-5.
Thanks for your help on this. We are trying to get robots started in the 4H
program throughout the state. The move of the conference to this area was
due to a bad situation that developed where it was origionally scheduled in
the Yakima area.
